Going On Empty on Day 28!

Went out at 11 with Muaz to do my list of chores: withdrawal of funds, currency exchange, and hunting that elusive rempeyek..

Somewhere in Shah Alam, for money-changing and last-minute items..

That evening, went across the road from the house with Muaz for berbuka options..

KL Final Destination

Reached Jaa's place an hour and a half before berbuka,,,

Ja'a rides topless...How cool is that!!My plateful, and sides..
Jaa and I stayed back as the rest of the family left for Terawikh. When they returned, I bade them ggodbye and drove off towards Kota Damansara, and the night there...

Day 27 Last Day in Taiping

I had a very good night's sleep last nite. After sahur, still another good nap. Woke up at 8:00 am with the sun coming up, It showered lightly for a few hours after that, though. Along surprised us by coming to the house, in the rain, with some goodies.
Along, me and Tok Ayah, snapped by Cik Adah..
Later Tok Ayah and I went to the barber. Mirror image of the baba shop.. Fee was rm7.00 for the regular hairdo.
Tok Ayah joined in the fun. He asked for a complete hairless service..And then, for the nescafe, shuttlecocks and some story books..

Day 26 is Posa 1 Day

Come to think of it, the last time I fasted a Ramadhan with my parents was probably 16 years ago, in 1994...That alone makes this day a historic event!!
Went out with Fuad for some more souvenir hunts..

At tesco for some peanutsI saw Aziz and Tok Ayah at Wak's (my) house. Aziz was cutting down the pulasan tree which had threatened the house's foundation and the neighbor's roof..

The berbuka fare included cok durian (adah), soy drink, ABC, laksa, apam balik, kanji (surau kg jana; opah donated 300 kilos of rice for this occasion, seri muka (3 kinds), putumayam ( I ate this after sahur, though), sugarless tea, and the dokongs and moktans, of course..
Needless to say, I was full. Aat called later but I was still full and plus it was raining..

Day 25 is DHL Day

Johnny and me. That was just before I left for Ipoh to mail those headlights to Amin...
At the DHL location In Ipoh, with the guard standing.
He needed a tip, and got rm5... Welcome to Malaysia!Left Jelapang, and saw this car. The Penang plate says it all
At the Sultan Azlan RR, for laksa and a cold drink, and saw this display at one of the stalls there..

It's a hot day indeed. I'm again exhausted and just want to reach home. I had a good rest until about seven.
Thinking that it might rain, I looked out, and saw these chickens on MakCik Kiah's roof...Had my third pangsa of durian for the day...It's the day before Ramadhan, so a bit of durian should be fine...Later, in the evening, at the Terminal. Me with Faiz. Read what his t-shirt says..

After my Koay Tiow Goreng, I asked Faiz for some multicolored antlers..
That ended the day... at 12:30 am!! Selamat Berpuasa!!

Day 24.. Homebound

Maktok's Front Yard, in the morning, just before leaving for Taiping..
This used to be SP town Center...The clocktower..
Made an unscheduled stop at a cousin's place.. Along looking good there!

And the rest of the day was wet and stormy..

Day 23, SP-Ps-SP

Slept in the yellow kelambu and good, no nyamuks at all... Syam came to finalise the bill and sale of the goods.. Later Mak Tok made this dishy... Nasi Lemak Mak Tok!
Stayed around for lunch before I made my way to Perlis...Pak Ji's family was all sick..At the crossroads...so I really don't know how long I should stay.The Chuping horizon..Kilang Simen Chuping

Sick, but still able!

Then off I went towards Taiping. At the Tambun Tulang shell, after refuelling, I saw the storm clouds and decided that SP should be a better option. I'm tired, too..
